Hey there! Welcome to www.drivenmavens.com!!  My name is Arvind and I am the owner of this website.  I am sure some of you are wondering exactly what a “Driven Maven” is and what this site is all about.  Well first of all…a little about myself.  I have a HUGE passion for art and design.  Specifically in the automotive sector.    I have been working in the automotive industry for the past 12 years striving to bring together the wonderful disciplines of art and engineering.  I graduated with a Bachelors of Art  in Industrial Design and Bachelors of Science in Interdisciplinary Engineering (Mechanical Engineering focus) from Purdue University.  Upon that journey, I cultivated my passion for creating artwork and understanding the world of design.  My passion for art really began from my childhood days.  I always loved to draw.  There are so many schools lacking the fundamental approach to help students prepare  for the real world in a career in art, design, or engineering.  I  felt compelled to help individuals to live up to their untapped potential.  Here you will learn principles and a mindset to not only succeed in art, but whatever your interests.I believe that if anyone puts time and effort, provided the right guidance, they too can become stellar artists in their own way.  Which is where the term Maven comes in.

A Maven is quite simply an expert in a particular area or field that chooses to share their talents.   Of course one must have drive and some ambition to see their goals through….and hence the term Driven Mavens!

Driven Mavens is a collection of Designers and Engineers that have a tremendous drive and passion to share their vast knowledge about the world of automotive design and illustration.  This includes providing the casual artist or seriously “driven” individuals with online tutorials on how to draw automobiles; covering basic proportions and shapes to more advance techniques.  We will also discuss styling trends in the automotive industry.  We seek to educate,  inspire, be inspired, and spread the importance  of art and design in our lives!  Whether you are a beginner or a pro.  Stop on by and join the community and give us your feedback!
